Rachel Dwyer é professora titular de Cinema Indiano no Departamento de Film Studies na School of Oriental e African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Junto com Dennison, Cooke e Lim, ela faz parte do conselho da rede internacional “Soft Power, cinema and the BRICS”. Rachel Dwyer is Professor of Indian Cinema in the Film Studies Department of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She co-directs the international research network Soft Power, Cinema and the BRICS. One of the most highly regarded researchers of Bollywood and Hindi cinema more broadly speaking, she has published a number of key texs (for example, Bollywood’s India: Hindi cinema as a guide to contemporary India, 2014) and she regularly contributes to film festivals (as jury member) to newspapers, magazines and radio and TV programmes on Bollywood and Indian culture.
