Stephanie Dennison é professora titular de Estudos Brasileiros, com especialização em Estudos de Cinema, na Universidade de Leeds, Inglaterra. Fundou o Centre for World Cinema em Leeds e co-organizou o livro Remapping World Cinema (2006) com Song Hwee Lim. É co-autora vários livros em inglês sobre o cinema brasileiro e latino-americano, includindo Brazilian National Cinema (2007). Em 2013 organizou o primeiro livro sobre World Cinema no Brasil: World Cinema: Novas cartografias do Cinema Mundial (Papirus). Foi Leverhulme International Academic Fellow na Unicamp (2015), e organiza, com Paul Cooke, a série de livros Remapping World Cinema pela Editora Routledge. É diretora da rede internacional de pesquisa Soft Power, Cinema and the BRICS.

Stephanie Dennison is a Professor of Brazilian Studies, with research interests in film studies, at the University of Leeds, UK. She founded the Centre for World Cinema at Leeds and co-edited Remapping World Cinema (2006) with Song Hwee Lim. She is co-author with Lisa Shaw of several books in English on Brazilian and Latin American cinema, including Brazilian National Cinema (2007). In 2013 she edited the first book on World Cinema to be published in Brazil: World Cinema: Novas Cartografias do Cinema Nacional (2015). She was a Leverhulme International Academic Fellow at UNICAMP in 2015 and she edits, with Paul Cooke, the Routledge book series Remapping World Cinema. She is Director of the international research network Soft Power, Cinema and the BRICS.
